Carol Ann Maggiotto

Artistic Director

Carol Ann Maggiotto holds a BA  from Southern Methodist University, MA from TWU, and has over 40 years teaching experience. Carol Ann began her dance training  at Ballet Academy of Tyler. She was an Apache Belle and show choir member at Tyler Junior College.  After moving to Dallas & graduating from SMU, she continued her studio dance training with ballet from Joyce Seabourne-Bader, jazz  with Lyndette Bader and tap with Terry Wolter and Buster Cooper.  Carol Ann’s  love of musical theatre came from working with NYC choreographers Utah Ground and Al Gilliam at TJC.  The highlight was dancing and singing back up to Sandy Duncan for an ABC movie of the week.  She has served as  Dance Captain in numerous musicals in the Dallas area  with her favorite roles being Dream Laurie from Oklahoma and Louise from Carousel. She studied with legends Joe Tremaine, Gus Giordano, David Howard, and Mia Michaels. She danced professionally with the Kesheth Company and the Pieces Ensemble.


Carol Ann is a member of the Dallas Dance Council, Dance Studio Owners Association, and Dallas Dance Network. Carol Ann gave back to the community by  serving as Chair of Rowlett's Arts and Humanities Commission for 7 years, Community Entertainment Coordinator for Rowlett’s  Pecan Fest and Festival of Freedom for 5 years. Even though being diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2016,  Carol Ann continues to stay on top of the latest dance trends by attending multiple dance conventions every year.   “My job is to make sure our students have strong technical  roots and then give them the wings to soar to their dreams.  I love that no matter how far they go in those pursuits and achievements, when in town they always come home to take class.”

Kyra McCarty

Assistant Studio Director / Performance Company Director / Instructor

Kyra McCarty is a May 2010 graduate of the Alabama School of Fine Arts in Birmingham, Alabama, receiving her diploma with a concentration in dance. In May 2014, she graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas with dual degrees in Dance (BFA) and Mathematics (BS). Throughout her dance career, she has received scholarships to train with Tremaine Dance Convention, Hubbard Street Dance/Lou Conte Dance Studio, Bates Dance Festival, and Dallas Black Dance Theatre. Additionally, she has had the opportunity to train at various summer and winter intensives including Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, International Ballet Competition, Ballet West, Ballet Memphis, and the International Association of Blacks in Dance (IABD). Ms. McCarty has numerous years of teaching experience with Dallas Black Dance Academy, Oxford Ballet School, and the Deborah Kaye School of Dance both in Oxford, Mississippi. Currently, Ms. McCarty performs and is rehearsal director for 8&1 Dance Company, in addition to serving as dance instructor and company director for Rowlett Dance Academy. She loves working with and inspiring students by nurturing their passions and helping them reach their full potential. 

Tiffany Hester

Assistant Studio Director / Ballet Company Director / Ballet Department Head / Instructor

Tiffany graduated from University of Maryland with a degree in Dance Education. She received her dance training from Steps on Broadway, New Jersey Ballet, Princeton Repertory Ballet, Garden State Ballet, and Broadway Dance Center in NYC. Tiffany has taught and choreographed all forms of dance for over 15 years.  Classically trained in ballet, Tiffany has performed lead roles in many.  Her favorites are the leads in Nutcracker and Coppelia. She has choreographed and directed productions of Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Coppelia and Don Quixote. She has been a Judge for both Starpower Nationals and Power of Dance Nationals dance competitions. Her company dancers have won national titles and her alumni students have continued their dance careers on Broadway and in professional dance companies.  With an eye for detail and an emphasis on technique, Tiffany enjoys creating unique pieces and helping dancers achieve their potential.

Nick Leos


NICK LEOS is a theatre director and choreographer originally from Mesquite, Texas. He recently returned to Dallas from London, where he received an MFA in Theatre Directing from East 15 Acting School, founded by Margaret Walker and based on the work of Joan Littlewood’s famed Theatre Workshop. DIRECTING: small hours by Lucy Kirkwood and Ed Hime (US Premiere, FIT2019), The Skin of Our Teeth (Mountain View College), Macbeth (Company of Rowlett Performers), Antony & Cleopatra (Stockwell Playhouse, Off-West-End), Free Solo: A New Musical by Jack Godfrey and Celine Snippe (World Premiere, Drayton Arms Theatre, Off-West-End), In the Continuum by Danai Gurira and Nikkole Salter (Bread & Roses Theatre). CHOREOGRAPHY: The Drowsy Chaperone, Mame, Damn Yankees, The Wedding Singer, Curtains, High School Musical, The Pajama Game, and more. He currently teaches in the theatre departments at Eastfield College and Mountain View College, teaches theatre dance at Rowlett Dance Academy, is a company member of Danielle Georgoiu Dance Group, and runs Leos Ensemble—a theatre group focused on plays with international themes.

Stephanie Yamauchi


Stephanie Yamauchi has been a student of ballet and tap dance for 16 years. She is an alumni of Rhythmic Souls Tap Company, where she was part of the semiprofessional Apprentice Company, and she has taught and choreographed for RSTC and several studios around the Dallas metroplex. She graduated with a degree in Biology from the University of Dallas, and she is currently pursuing a masters in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of Texas at Dallas. Her goal is to one day be a tap dancing scientist.

Amanda Gohring


Amanda joins our staff as both instructor and our marketing/social media guru.  She has been a staff instructor in all genres and age groups for over 9 years at Joy’s School of Dance in Waco and 2 years at several area studios since moving to the DFW area in 2017. She is a much sought after Master Class Teacher and Competition Choreographer.  She has been a Guest Choreographer for Baylor University Dance Company, TATD (Texas Association of Teachers of Dance),  Robinson H.S. Color Guard,  China Spring H. S. Drill Team, and Live Oak Classical School,


Amanda has a BBA from Tarleton State University where she majored in Marketing.  She is certified in tap instruction from TATD, is the Co-Founder of Miriam’s Army (a charitable dance ministry in East Waco), and volunteers at the Boys & Girls Club of America as well as Meals on Wheels.

Without the love and art of dance in my life, I would not be the fun, energetic, happy person that I am today. I like to create pieces, numbers, and routines that help  students showcase their talents and God given gifts. “

Audra Johnson Duncan


Audra has studied and competed in all genres of dance for over 15  years.  She performed in numerous venues around the Metroplex.  She taught at Rowlett Dance several years before getting married and starting a family.   The love of dance never left and she is returning to her passion. “I am a wife and mother to three incredible children.  My two daughters have definitely followed in their mommy’s footsteps with a deep love of dance!  A standard my parents always taught me when I was younger is always stay hungry and humble, do your best in all things from the smallest, most simple to the big things.  I love the adrenaline rush of jazz, hip hop and tap, and feel my prettiest in a ballet class.”

Claudia Markarian


Claudia received her degree in Musical Theatre while studying theatre, voice and dance at Glendale College and Occidental College.  While at Occidental, she concentrated on musical theatre, jazz and Latin styles of dance.  She was a two time Irene Ryan Acting Award nominee while studying Shakespeare at Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum.   Mrs. Claudia’s performance credentials include H.M.S. Pinafore and The Importance of Being Earnest at Hillside Repertoire Company, Guinevere in Camelot  and Aldonza in Man of La Mancha with Larry Gabriel Theatre Company, Ensemble in Jesus Christ Superstar, Godspell and Grease.   She performed with comedy improv  group “Spin Cycle”  and appeared in the movies Bugsy and Mambo King.  She is active in the local Homeschool groups and has homeschooled her children the last 16 years.  This year she will be teaching 3-5 year olds online. 

Elaina Alspach


Elaina Alspach is a local dancer, choreographer, and educator in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. She began her dance training at a young age where she immersed herself in studio and drill team dance. Her passion for dance grew over the years, and in 2016 she began pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Dance Studies. She graduated from Texas Woman’s University, with a BA in Dance Studies and a minor in Business Entrepreneurship in May of 2020. 

Elaina has now been working as an educator and choreographer for over 4 years. Her students have been recognized for improvisation skills and performance, as well as Elaina’s choreography receiving awards for ‘Terrific Transitions’ and often placing ‘1st-3rd Overall’ at regional and national dance competitions. 

Elaina is also a company member of the Danielle Georgiou Dance Group (DGDG) in Dallas, Texas. With this group, she has participated in multiple performances centered on contemporary dance and physical theatre in surrounding Texas cities such as Dallas, Fort-Worth, Waco, and Houston. In addition, she has had the opportunity of working with other companies such as Very Good Dance Theatre in Dallas, TX and the Joffrey Ballet School in NYC.

Melanie Davis

Office Manager

Melanie is currently studying at the University of Texas in Arlington to complete her Bachelors in Spanish and Korean with the goal of becoming a translator/interpreter. She did 6 years of military service in the Air Force. Her biggest passions are singing, learning foreign languages and being a mom. Currently she speak 4 languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese and Korean.

Ryan Maggiotto

Teaching Assistant Program Director

Ryan is currently studying at Richland College to complete his AAS in Business Administration with the intention of either beginning to work in Human Resources or transfer to a University and complete his Bachelors. Ryan previously studied Psychology and Dance while at Tyler Junior College and his first years at Richland College. A Graduate of Garland High School, Ryan has the performing arts in his blood growing up in the studio and performing on stage since he was 3. A graduate of the original Teaching Assistant Program at Rowlett Dance Academy, Ryan taught dance for 7 years and has since then moved to more administrative duties. Ryan continues to perform as a cavalier in the ballet productions at Rowlett Dance Academy. 

Ryan is extremely honored to be the Teaching Assistant Program Director for the past 3 years, having the ability to work with such talented and passionate students. The program has grown significantly and continues to challenge its Teaching Assistants & Student Teachers to excel, providing invaluable experience and skills for the future dance teachers and educators.

Megan Davidson

Intern Teacher

Megan is a Senior at Rowlett High School. She has studied at Rowlett Dance Academy for 9 years and takes classes in ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, acro and musical theatre. She has also trained at Joffrey, at Dallas Ballet Center and at Dallas Black Dance Academy.

Megan is a Principal with the Allegro Ballet Company, a member of the Elite Performance Company and Dance Captain for all the Performance and Ballet companies. She has performed in the Nutcracker as Reed Flute Princess, Spanish Princess, Snow Queen and Sugar Plum Fairy. She will be Clara in this year's production and was a featured soloist in RDA’s 2019 production of Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons”. 

Megan was the 2017 Tremaine Studio Dancer of the Year for Rowlett Dance Academy. She was a member of the top overall award winning trio at Bella Moxi Competition, received a scholarship to Artistic Dance Exchange and qualified for Nationals with the Top Overall Senior Division dance. She received an Elite Diamond and 1st place for her solo at Groove.  Megan has been a teaching assistant, a Student Teacher and this year will be RDA's first Intern Teacher. 

Megan is so thankful for all the opportunities given to her by her Rowlett Dance Academy family, and hopes to leave the same impact on the next generation of dancers that her teachers have left on her. 

Sofia Markarian

Teaching Assistant

Sofia began dancing at the age of eight and has trained in several styles of dance including ballet, pointe, contemporary, jazz, tap, hip hop, acro and musical theatre. She has danced at Rowlett Dance Academy for 3 years and is a Corps de Ballet member with the Allegro Ballet Company, and member of the Select Elite Performance Company. While she is not dancing in her own dance classes, she serves as Teaching Assistant. She enjoys assisting her dance teachers and delights in this great honor. Sofia will start her freshman year of high school this fall and is a member of the National Homeschool Honor Society.

Elyse Guadagno

Teaching Assistant

Elyse is 15 years old and attends Rockwall Heath High School. She has been dancing since she was 4 years old. Elyse enjoys many styles of dance, including ballet, pointe, contemporary, tap, and musical theater. Elyse joined the Ballet Company in 2019 as a Capriccio member. She will participate again this year in Capriccio’s First Corps. She portrayed a Ballerina Doll in last year’s production of the Nutcracker, and she is honored to play the role of a Chinese Princess this year. Elyse joined the TA program last summer and loves spending her time with the younger students.

Keira Guadagno

Teaching Assistant

Keira is 12 years old and has been dancing for 9 years. She takes a vast amount of classes which include ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, hip hop, acro and contemporary.  A highlight for Keira is performing in the Nutcracker each year.  She was ecstatic last year in her role as Fritz and looks forward to her new role as a Chinese Princess this year.  Keira joined the Performance Company in 2018.  She will begin her third year as a member, where she will also act as Dimensions Dance Captain.  Keira was invited to the Ballet Company in 2019 as a member of Vivace.  This year she joins the Ballet Company in Capriccio as a Corps member.  Keira enjoys attending conventions, competitions and intensives.  In 2019 Keira received 2nd place overall at the Tremaine Dance Competition in the junior jazz solo division.  

Trinity Hines

Teaching Assistant

Trinity is 15 years old and attends Sachse high school as a sophomore. She has been dancing for 12 years now and this will be her seventh year at RDA. She has trained in many different styles of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, acro, and musical theatre. This will be Trinity's second year as a TA and her third year in RDA's performance company. Trinity has a special place in her heart for young dancers and she is very excited to assist them in learning and improving this year.

Rose Williams

Teaching Assistant

Rose has danced at Rowlett Dance Academy for 13 years, and has studied in the styles of jazz, contemporary, pointe/ballet, hip hop, tap, modern and acro. Rose has been a TA for 5 years and assisting such as combo, ballet, jazz and lyrical. She is a junior at rowlett high school and is in all honors while also being on both the Performance Company and Ballet Company here at Rowlett Dance Academy. 

Brielle Klaver

Teaching Assistant

Brielle is 13 years old and in 8th grade.  She began her ballet training at the age of 4.  This year will be her 10th year dancing, and her 6th year studying with Rowlett Dance Academy.  In 2017, she received RDA's Molly Beal Dance scholarship. Brielle is a 1st Soloist with the Capriccio Ballet Company and this is her second year as a member of the Company.  She is excited to participate in RDA's Teaching Assistant Program and is thrilled to perform her first lead role in this year's Nutcracker production as Ballerina Doll.  Brielle is grateful to her RDA dance teachers, staff, and classmates for making her dance experience the best it could possibly be. 

Gisselle Landeros

Teaching Assistant

My name is Gisselle Landeros, I am 17 years old. I am a senior at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, I have been given the opportunity to graduate with High dance honors. I have been dancing for 10 years. I am trained in many different styles of dance. I have been at Rowlett Dance Academy for 3 years. I am a member of the Allegro Ballet Company and I am also a member of the select classical performance company. I am super excited to be Snow Queen for this year’s Nutcracker production. I am excited and grateful to be assisting in the teaching program at Rowlett Dance Academy. I love how everyone makes me feel loved and welcomed.
