Welcome to Rowlett Dance Academy!
We
will be coming to Primrose each Tuesday morning to teach students ages 3 to 5
for 2008-2009.
The
40 minute class will include ballet and tap. The program is open to both boys and girls.
Students
need pink leather ballet shoes (black for boys) and black tap shoes.
Please put student's name in the shoes and keep shoes in a special bag
or backpack. You Can purchase shoes at our studio, which is located at 5000
Rowlett Road, Suite 110, just south of the Hwy 66 intersection. We
are in the same shopping center as Dickey's BBQ. You
can also purchase shoes at any dance wear store, Walmart, Target, and Payless
Shoes for Kids.
The
registration fee is $30 per family.
Tuition
is $50 per month and is due in full on the first of each month.
A
costume fee will be due October 1st and is $75 (includes costume and tights).
Students
will do 2 dances at the May RDA Recital.
A
Recital fee of $45 is due February 1st.
OR
you can save 10% by participating in the semester payment plan.
Tuition
is due the first of the month. A
late fee of 10% will be charged to all unpaid balances on the 15th. There
is a $25 charge on all returned checks.
The
discounted semester tuition plan is $274.50 for the Fall semester and includes
the registration fee, 4 months tuition, and the recital costume fee.
The
Fall semester runs from September 9th through December 16th (15 classes).
The
discounted second semester payment plan is $220.50 and includes 4 months
tuition and the recital fee.
The
Spring semester runs from February 3rd to May 19th (15 classes). Payment
is due in full by the first class of each semester.
We
will have a Christmas Open House at the Primrose School for parents and family
to come and view how much the students have learned. Videos and cameras are welcomed at this time. Our
annual Recital is in may and will be held at an area auditorium and will
include costume and tights.

Please make sure your account is up-to-date. Costumes
will only be ordered for those that are paid in full by the 10th of December.
If a costume is not ordered, your child cannot participate in the recital in
May. This is the only time costumes are ordered.
NUTCRACKER: The Ballet Department will present its annual
production of the Nutcracker on Sunday, December 7th, at 4:00 pm at Rowlett
H.S. Tickets are $7 each and went
on sale November 1st. We have
sold out the last 2 years, so don’t wait long to get tickets. You may purchase them at the front desk at the studio.
HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE: You are invited to watch your child’s class
and celebrate the holiday season with festive holiday songs and dances. Each
class will show what they have been learning. Open
house is Tuesday, December 16th 6:30- 7:00p.m. at Primrose.
We will have a special dance in the recital for parents. Margaret
Kochan will teach a couples dance to a medley of Swing, Salsa and Country
western. Rehearsals will be on Friday evenings from 8:00 – 9:00. There
will be no charge for RDA parents. Please
let me know and i will sign you up or you may call the studio. Classes
begin February 20.
THE STUDIO WILL BE CLOSED December 22nd through January 4th for the
Winter Break.
